Terms of Service

1. The agreement
These terms govern your use of Doorly, an age-verification app for OpoShop stores published by Found ("we", "us"). By installing or using Doorly you agree to them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. What Doorly does
Doorly renders a configurable age-confirmation screen on your storefront before a shopper can browse or buy — sitewide, or on the collections and products you select. It records anonymous daily counts of how often that check ran and what shoppers answered. It is read-only against your store and never modifies your products, orders, or customers.
3. Compliance is yours
This is the most important clause here, so it is stated plainly:
- Doorly is a tool, not a compliance certification, and nothing in it constitutes legal advice.
- Age-verification requirements vary enormously by product, jurisdiction, and sales channel. Some categories require identity verification at checkout or on delivery, which Doorly does not perform.
- A self-declared age check — which is what Doorly implements — is what most payment processors and platforms ask for, but it is not proof of a shopper's actual age, and we make no claim that it is.
- You are responsible for choosing an appropriate minimum age, for the wording you publish, and for meeting the rules that apply to what you sell and where you ship it.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Doorly to:
- Present false or misleading claims to shoppers, including implying a verification we do not perform.
- Circumvent any platform policy, payment-processor rule, or applicable law.
- Interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities outside a good-faith disclosure, or attempt to access another merchant's data.
5. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Doorly is designed to fail open: if it cannot load, your storefront behaves exactly as it did before, with no gate. That is a deliberate choice to protect your store from being broken by our outage — but it does mean an outage can result in ungated pageviews. If your risk profile cannot tolerate that, do not rely on a client-side age gate alone.
6. Data
Our handling of merchant and shopper data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: we read only your store identity, collections and products; we collect nothing that identifies a shopper; and we never sell data.
7. Fees
Any fees, plans, or trial terms are as shown on the OpoShop App Store listing at the time you install. If pricing changes we will give notice in the app before it applies to you.
8. Termination
You may uninstall Doorly at any time from your OpoShop admin; the age gate stops rendering immediately. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, including any use that endangers other merchants or the platform.
9. Disclaimers and liability
Doorly is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including any warranty that its use will satisfy a legal or contractual obligation you have. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to Doorly is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost sales or regulatory penalties.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change and material updates will be surfaced in the app. Continuing to use Doorly after an update means you accept it.
